The bed was great, the shower was hot, and the staff were very hospitable. The room had clean bedding, a TV, heater, fan, hanging space for clothes and a bench for paperwork or laptop work. Lifts go to the upper floors. Breakfast was good, and all in all it was a comfortable stay, close to transport routes. I only took a star off for minor issues with general repairs and fittings. They had no Guinness, and on the first night the bar equipment kept beeping like a heart monitor. The complimentary coffee was awful, though there are plenty of shops nearby. WiFi is free for only 30 minutes, which seems pretty mean in this day and age.

The location was perfect, close to the main attractions, and we used the paid parking next to the hotel, which was a bonus. The rooms were basic, but clean and spacious, and good value for money. It was just what we needed, and we’d stay here again.

The staff made this stay for me. Zuzanna in the breakfast bar was kind, and hotel manager Nalend was polite and professional. I even saw her checking the building early in the morning and greeting guests. The hotel is very well managed. It could definitely use a makeover, but the location is handy for public transport, just a minute from the bus station.

I've tried Travel Lodge in three different places now and haven't been impressed, so this is my last stay with them. I'll go with Premier Inn from now on. The staff here were faultless, but the company needs to raise its game to compete. There was no luggage storage, though they were happy to charge an early check-in fee so I could put my bags in the room. My room was clean but in need of renovation, the shower only trickled, and there was no bath mat.

The room was clean and pretty much what you'd expect, and the staff were amazing. For the money, the hotel was good. What let things down were the dinner prices and portions, plus a breakfast buffet where I often had to ask for items to be refilled. I also slept terribly, though maybe stress or being in a hotel for the first time was the reason. I went to bed at 11, but didn't fall asleep until 4:30 am. That really sucked, especially with my university interview the next day. I was up at 8:30.
