The hotel is right on the university campus, which was ideal for my 24-hour visit and a perfect location. It was my first stay here, and I enjoyed it very much. Inside, everything was immaculate, and my room was spotless and well equipped. Breakfast was great, and the staff were attentive and helpful. I’ll definitely stay again when I’m in Nottingham.

Breakfast was excellent, with lots of choice and everything cooked perfectly. Zizzi greeted us in the breakfast area and was lovely. Tan brought pancakes for my daughter, who is six, and it meant a lot that Tan remembered from our previous stay that she loves them. It was such a thoughtful touch. The night before, we’d had dinner at Bramleys, where Franco welcomed us, Alex showed us to our table and Charlie looked after us. Everyone was friendly, attentive and professional, and the food was delicious, beautifully presented and full of flavour. When we arrived for our one-night stay at the Orchard Hotel, Kirsty gave us a warm welcome at check-in and made us feel valued and at ease. Housekeeping had prepared the room beautifully, with thoughtful personal touches. My daughter was delighted by the swans and other towel arrangements, which made her day. We had a fantastic visit and can’t wait to come back. Thanks to the whole team for making it so memorable.

The breakfast buffet was lovely, with both English and continental options, a perfect start to the day. The entrance was fabulous, and the room had lovely, unique decor with a calming wall mural. Service and follow-up messages were fantastic, and there’s extra parking behind the hotel. The lifts need a room card to operate. We found Brambles expensive, rather fancy, and not very child-friendly, so we ate out. Bring charger plugs too, as there are no USB sockets.

We were in Nottingham for a family event in Beeston, and several of us stayed at the Orchard Hotel. It was easy to find from the motorway, with plenty of parking and good public transport connections. The digital key app worked well too. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and breakfast was excellent. We also enjoyed a relaxed evening in the bar, which has plenty of seating. The hotel clearly handles large numbers of guests, while still managing to feel personal. We’ll definitely stay again and are happy to recommend it.

Breakfast was very nice, and the hotel itself is pleasant, though it felt a bit overpriced for what you get. My room was only okay, and I was disappointed to find it very cold when I came back because the window had been left open. That turns off the air-conditioning, which is the only heating. At Bramleys, the service was good, but the kitchen was clearly having trouble when I visited, and that affected the service. My starters took 30 minutes and the main nearly an hour. The flavours were very good, but the quality was disappointing: the pork wasn’t served pink, and the venison croquette was lovely but the jus was cold. I’d have complained if the food hadn’t taken so long. The bar staff were good at chatting with customers, but that did leave others waiting to be served. I’d happily give the hotel another try, as I think I caught it on an off day.
