I stayed at the stonehouse travel lodge for about four weeks or more, and the staff made me and my two-year-old feel at home. The rooms were immaculate, with plenty of tea and so on. Everyone was polite and smiled when passing. I’m especially grateful to the woman at the front desk, whose name I didn’t catch. Each shift, she’d open the door while I was carrying my sleeping baby and ask if I needed help. Everyone went above and beyond. I’m very grateful for all their help.

After 300 miles in the car, I was delighted to find a bath and have a long soak. The room was clean and quiet, with good double glazing, and the staff were helpful. It’s an easy stop for the M4 and M5, less than a mile from M5 J13. There’s a Shell station with Waitrose, Subway and Starbucks within 50m, so food was easy to find. I was happy with the stay: everything I needed at a great price.

I booked in at the hotel and was met by a polite, cheerful, down-to-earth staff member who was very focused on customers. The room impressed me too. Great service and accommodation, and I’d highly recommend this Travelodge. Thank you. Ewan. Shackletons, Dewsbury, Hgv Driver.

Nothing to complain about: parking was easy, and the price was reasonable. We slept well in a comfortable, quiet bed, and having a kettle meant we could make a quick brew on a cold day.

The location isn’t great and there aren’t many facilities nearby. Still, the staff we met were fantastic and really helpful. It’s a good option for a Travelodge.
