The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is roomy and laid out well. There’s a small bar and a comfy lounge with framed pictures of artists and pop idols. It was my first visit with friends and we had a lovely time. The place is on a busy road, though there’s a car park and you can also park on the street. The toilets are a few steps away, but there isn’t a disabled toilet.

The food was awful, and £5-95 for a can of Guinness at a Christmas party is disgusting. The decor looks like it hasn’t changed in 30 years. I can’t understand why people come here.

The rooms were nice and the bed was really comfy. There was a good choice at breakfast, too. It’s a warm, welcoming hotel, and I’d definitely stay again. Only let down by the shower pressure. 9/10.

The bed was the best bit, and even that was only average. The floors creak, the water pressure is low, and you can hear everything and everyone. Breakfast wasn’t worth the Pepto Bismol I needed afterwards.

Breakfast was delicious, and the service was perfect in every way. We had a lovely stay, with an immaculate, very comfortable room. I’m very happy to recommend staying here. Mark
