The staff were nice, but the food was comically bad. I’ve had better in a school canteen, so don’t waste your time or money. For Sunday lunch, everyone was packed into a function room at tables that looked rescued from a skip, while the main restaurant was closed for no discernible reason. It felt like eating in a parish hall.

The rooms were luxurious and the beds comfortable, and the food throughout the day was superb. We had a family wedding here in September, just as we did two years ago, and both times were just as good. The function room is spacious and beautifully decorated, with plenty of room to sit and relax. The staff are so friendly and go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome. Highly recommend.

Josephine and Sally recently stayed at the hotel and thought the rooms were beautiful and the food was great. The staff were all lovely and went above and beyond, especially Caroline. Highly recommend.

There was a great range of food for both adults and kids. Our room was spotless and surprisingly spacious for a family of five, and the beds were super comfy. The staff were very friendly, and the hotel is in a great location.

We had Sunday lunch at the Silver Birch, a four-course meal costing £24.95 per person, with several options for each course. One of our party was coeliac, and our server knew which dishes could be made gluten free. The beef was really tasty, the food was lovely and service was efficient, so it was good value overall. The only small thing for us was that the vegetables were a little overcooked.
