Louie made a last-minute stay after an Airbnb disaster feel easy. He was welcoming, funny and laid-back, and made sure we had everything we needed. The rooms are simple, clean and well equipped, and the place has a homely, low-key feel without any bells and whistles. I’d stay again.

We won't be back after this. Three of us stopped in for drinks after a fabulous night at the Courthouse. About 20 minutes after ordering, a bell rang, so we went to the bar for one last drink before heading home. They told us the bar was closed and that the bell meant time, though there hadn't been a last-orders bell. The two barmen were quite rude. They said they usually go round to each table to tell people it's last orders, but for some reason hadn't done that this time. The two people serving that night could do with customer service training.

Louie made us feel very welcome during our overnight stay. I was there with my mum, and we both really enjoyed it. The bedrooms were really nice and very clean.

The food was delicious, and I was given a takeout container because the portion was quite big. We'd dropped in for a meal between concerts at the church around the corner. The staff were upfront that there might be a slight wait. Hope to visit again!

We found a cosy spot by the fireplace, and it was as quiet as we needed. People were chatting in the bar around the corner, so we could sit away from that. The bartender was nice, and the beer was good and well priced. Great pub.
