Breakfast was a real highlight, with a much fuller buffet than the evening food, which is mostly pizza and wings. The restaurant's evening options are limited, but there's plenty next door in the entertainment complex, including an Asian buffet, Italian food, and bar meals. They also welcome food deliveries, and staff will bring plates and cutlery so you can eat in the restaurant area. The hotel is next to Kassam Stadium on Oxford's south side, easy to reach, and has plenty of parking on site. Just remember to register your car at reception. Check-in was friendly and efficient, and it was nice to be acknowledged as a Hilton Honors member. My room was comfortable and well equipped, with lots of power sockets, a large TV, and tea and coffee facilities. The shower-only bathroom was well laid out and worked fine. There's a small gym for a basic workout. I did miss having a fridge and complimentary biscuits. You're right beside the football stadium, so I imagine it gets busy on match days. The nearby Vue Cinema entertainment complex has bowling, indoor golf, arcade games, laser tag, a football shop, bars, and restaurants. A practical, comfortable base for events or an overnight stop, especially if you want entertainment close by.

The hotel is out of town, though we were in the heart of the city in 12 minutes. The whole place was spotless and well looked after, and our room was just right. Staff were welcoming, and the complimentary breakfast had plenty of choice. We stayed one night, were really impressed, and would happily come back.

I had a lovely weekend stay. Since I'm coeliac, I'm often unsure whether hotel breakfast will be safe, but there were loads of gluten-free choices. The rolls came in separate packets, there were GF cornflakes, and the buffet had separate tongs. Most of it was GF anyway, and the staff knew their stuff. They made it easy for me to eat and enjoy breakfast safely.

The room was excellent: comfy bed and pillows, a good shower, plenty of TV options, and a massive screen. It was my first time using a digital key, and it worked without a hitch. The stay was good value and I'd use the hotel again at a similar price if I were in the area. The breakfast buffet was okay, but the food seemed to have been sitting out for an unpredictable amount of time. The bacon on the second morning was the clearest example. Do you wait for a fresh batch or just take what's left in the tray? One small annoyance was that the bar sold crisps from a multipack.

We went around New Year and the hotel was lovely, new, and clean. The service was right on point, and the staff would go out of their way if guests needed anything. Reception deserves a special mention. Breakfast was great, and the kids especially loved making fresh waffles in the morning. I've stayed in lots of hotels and would highly recommend this one. Well done to everyone, it's a must if you're in the area.
