Holiday Inn Express Glasgow Airport

I've stayed several times when flying to or from Glasgow Airport, and it's a reliable, affordable option just a few minutes' walk from the terminal. It's a fairly standard Holiday Inn Express, but the location makes it one of the best choices near the airport, and it's often available at a reasonable price. Friendly staff and a good breakfast, too.

Plenty to choose from at the free buffet breakfast, and I loved the coffee 🫠. The front desk staff gave great service. My room was spotlessly clean, with a great bed and pillows, and it was quiet at night. The shower had great hot water. I'd highly recommend this hotel 💯.

The desk service was good, and the lady offered the check-in benefits, though she didn't acknowledge my status. The rooms were clean and okay, but the air con or heater makes a fair amount of noise when running. Also, the location on Google Maps is wrong. This isn't the Holiday Inn right out of the terminal. Go through the car park and it's on your left. I booked expecting the hotel closer to the terminal, so it would be great if someone corrected the map.

The staff are lovely and helpful, and the hotel itself is lovely, but the food situation was a problem. We were turned away from the bar and told to come back because it was too busy and they weren't taking orders. It seemed you couldn't just order food to take away. We went back and were told to try again in 15 / 20 minutes. Staff shouldn't be put in the position of turning people away. You can stay and drink without food, though, which is a win for the hotel when drinks are pretty expensive!
