We’re lucky to have The Tree in our town. Jazz, Andy and the team are our usual choice for a meal out, and they’re fantastic. The servers are kind and happy to help with anything, which makes the whole visit feel better. There’s a huge menu, so even picky eaters should find something, and the food is genuinely delicious. They also use local and British suppliers. Booking ahead is a good idea, especially on weekends. Well worth going.

We were only passing through town and stopped in on the off chance, without staying at the hotel. Glad we did: we got a warm welcome and had the best breakfast we’ve eaten in ages. We couldn’t try dinner this time, but we’ll be back in September for a cycling event and plan to call in again. Many thanks!

Breakfast was included and the price was very reasonable. The food was great, and all the staff were lovely. The hotel is a little dated, but very clean. Our room had tea, coffee and biscuits, and I’d happily stay again.

We stayed for two nights with our dog, and the room was spotless. The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was excellent, and dinner in the restaurant was delicious with generous portions. This place is a little gem and definitely worth a visit. Peebles was lovely too, with stunning scenery and amazing walks. I’ll certainly be back.
