Portclew House

Spent two nights here and it was fantastic. The rooms were really clean and comfortable. I always forget a face cloth when travelling, so it was such a nice touch to find one supplied. I'll certainly come back.

The owners were wonderful, and there's lots to choose from at breakfast. We stayed as a family for just under a week in the beautiful setting of Freshwater East, with the beach only a few minutes' walk away. The rooms were spacious and cleaned each day if you wanted that service, and the in-room refreshments were topped up daily. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

We really enjoyed our stay. Our hosts were excellent, the breakfast was great, and the room was super-comfy. After we spent a rainy day on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, they kindly dried our boots and clothes.

We first visited the hen house around 2018, then came back for our summer holiday two or three years later. After that we chose other accommodation because the cottage felt a bit cramped, and one bathroom with three kids wasn't very practical. We returned this year and found the master bed room had been massively improved. There's now a super king size bed, which was very comfortable, and a really generous en suite. That completely changed things for us and made the stay much more comfortable. We'd especially recommend it for a family with three children, and we'll book again for next year.
