Even arriving late, we had no trouble parking. There are several supermarkets nearby, plus plenty of food pubs and restaurants within walking distance. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the friendly staff shared useful local knowledge and great restaurant and pub recommendations.

For £44 for two people sharing a double room, this was excellent value. The stay was comfortable and stress free, and we'd happily return. Although breakfast isn't served on site, there are nearby cafés with options from coffee and pastries to a full cooked breakfast. Our room was spotless, spacious and well laid out, with a very comfortable bed and a pull-out bed tucked underneath for extra sleeping space. Tea and coffee were good quality and well stocked, and the snack vending machine came in handy. The clean, modern bathroom was well maintained, with a refreshing shower, steady temperature and good pressure, plus fresh towels and toiletries. On arrival, Rachel, the reception supervisor, welcomed us warmly and made check-in smooth. She was just as helpful and pleasant at checkout. Her friendly, professional manner made us feel well looked after.

There was no hot water on our first morning, but they refunded the first night's stay without hesitation. The room was clean, the staff were outstanding, and the prices were decent. The location is good too. I'll definitely stay at this Travelodge again.
