It was the team's thoughtfulness that really made our stay at Craigie Hotel feel like home. They let us check in a little early, then moved us to another room so our young girls could settle more easily that evening, knowing an event was on. After we left, the hotel called to ask if we were in Edinburgh because our six-year-old had left her favourite teddy, “Star,” in the bed. They carefully packed it up and sent it home by Royal Mail. Our daughter was overjoyed and relieved. The rooms are excellent and the restaurant fantastic, but the team's genuine care is what stands out. We felt nothing was too much trouble and wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend it.

For my Dad's funeral tea after the service at mortonhall, we chose this beautiful hotel in a lovely setting. The buffet was delicious and covered the family's dietary needs. Everyone commented on the venue, buffet and staff. The young woman serving tea and coffee kept circulating and making sure everyone had a top-up. Jamie was extremely helpful and kept me right while I arranged this sad occasion.

I'm a regular at The Craigie, and usually breakfast after 12 hasn't been a problem, even though it's meant to be served until then. But today, when my family and I arrived at 11:55, we were turned away. The restaurant was quiet, so it was disappointing to have five covers refused.

The hotel was clean, warm and comfortable, in a perfect spot in rural Scotland. The staff were welcoming and helpful too. The restaurant's cuisine was first class, and I'd highly recommend this place for a perfect stay 👌

The room was beautiful, and the cleanliness was amazing. Staff were helpful and accommodating without being intrusive. We had dinner and breakfast, both with very generous portions. Wish I'd taken pictures.
