Having breakfast sent up to the room was a lovely touch. The stay also made it easy to get around, with the nearest tram stop only a few minutes away and the river and scenic paths about a 5-7 minute walk. The supermarket was farther away than I expected, which was difficult in the cold. Still, it was a pleasant, handy base for seeing the area and nearby attractions.

We had a spacious, clean room for a great price, and parking was ample and free. The reception team and staff were friendly and welcoming. Well done, travel lodge. We look forward to coming back.

The place was clean and presentable, but the thin walls meant noisy neighbours could be an issue. There's no lift, so expect to carry your bags up at least three flights of stairs. There isn't food nearby either, with the closest options a 5+ minute walk away.

The central location was handy, but the hotel felt dated and the TV was broken. The staff member on duty wasn't from this hotel and couldn't help me register my vehicle for the car park. They gave me cables to try changing myself in case that was the problem, but offered no further assistance. On a horrible, wet and windy night, my two children and I spent hours sitting in the room without a TV.

Free parking and decent rooms made this a good stopover when in Perth. It's just across the river from the city, which is a great location. The place could do with a refresh, and it's a shame the bar next door is shut.
