I was staying near where I needed to be the next day, which worked out well. It’s a budget hotel at a service station, with plenty of fast food places and mini supermarkets around if that’s your thing. The room was basic but clean, and the bed was okay. The window had been left open for some reason, so it was blooming cold when I got in. For the price, I’d stay again.

Our room was at the back, so motorway noise wasn’t an issue. It was a good size and had what we needed, including tea and coffee, though both the hotel and the rooms could use some updating. The bathroom arrangement was a bit unusual, with the toilet and shower separate and the sink in the main room, but that suited us as a couple. Check-in was easy, and the man on reception was friendly and explained everything. There’s a little bar and seating by reception, plus plenty of places nearby to eat or get coffee. The hotel is just off the motorway by the services. We had a pleasant stay and would come back.

Vineeth made me feel welcome throughout my stay at Days Inn Peterborough. He was helpful and friendly from check-in right through to check-out, patiently answering my questions and pitching in whenever I needed something. His professionalism and positive attitude made everything run smoothly. Please pass on my thanks to him. He’s a real asset to the team, and the care he showed deserves recognition. I’d happily stay here again, and appreciate the high standard of service.

The carpets are filthy, with oil stains, and the rooms don’t seem well maintained. As a professional driver, I need somewhere clean and dependable to rest, and this hotel hasn’t met even basic hospitality standards. I stay here weekly through my company’s bookings for coach drivers, and the repeated lack of professionalism is extremely disappointing. Once, I was given a key to a room where guests were already asleep. Walking in on an occupied room was a serious privacy and safety breach. Another time, after a long day driving, I waited more than 15 minutes at an empty reception desk just to get my key. I don’t recommend staying here.

The beds made our three nights miserable. They were so uncomfortable that we ended up buying mattress toppers from dunelm just to get through the stay. The rooms aren’t especially nice, though ours had a roomy bathroom with a huge shower and a seat in it for elderly guests. Wi-Fi worked well, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. There are plenty of restaurants on site, but McDonald's is the only one open around the clock. It’s cheap, and there’s a wooded area beside the hotel for walking dogs. The place welcomes dogs, so it could suit you well if you’re travelling with pets. Best think of it as somewhere to sleep for the night.
