Craigmhor Lodge & Courtyard

We spent two nights at Craigmhor Lodge for my husband’s birthday, and it was such a good find. Our Courtyard room, number 7, was quiet and lovely, with a huge comfortable bed and a spotless, roomy bathroom. Everything was clean and the facilities were top notch. Breakfast was a real highlight: lots to choose from, cooked fresh to order with local produce, and served hot in generous, nicely presented portions. It set us up for the day. The town centre is only a short walk away. If we come back to Pitlochry, I wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

The woman who welcomed us at reception was professional and knew her stuff. We slept really well, and the room was spacious and very clean. There was a bath as well as a separate shower, with shower gel provided, plus tea and coffee and two bottles of water in the fridge. The balcony looked out over the river, and it was so quiet and peaceful. We stayed one night and would definitely come back.

Breakfast was the best part, with plenty of good Scottish food to choose from. Our room was spacious, with lovely views and a large shower room. Everyone on staff was friendly and made us feel welcome throughout our stay at Craigmhor Lodge.

I’m fussy, and I really can’t fault this place. The staff were all delightful and seemed genuinely happy at work. We even caught them having a laugh in the kitchen as we checked out, which was lovely to see. Breakfast was great, with views over the rooftops and misty hills. It must look amazing on a snowy morning. The room was much bigger than usual and had both a bath and shower, so we could get ready quicker. It feels private, but the shops and restaurants are only about a five-minute walk away. I’ll definitely stay again when I’m in Pitlochry. You won’t be disappointed.
