Port Na Craig Inn

This inn and cafe sits right by the river, a lovely setting for a relaxing drink. We had beers outside at comfortable wooden picnic-style tables, and the outdoor area was really nice. It's dog friendly, and the staff were really friendly too.

We had a wonderful meal here to celebrate a 40th birthday. Cosy atmosphere, excellent food and attentive staff made it a perfect evening. The food came quickly, and paying the bill was just as prompt. It's dog friendly, which is a huge plus when travelling with a four-legged friend. Pumpkin decorations outside for the season gave the place an extra special look. I found it utterly charming and will definitely be back.

The Chicken Balmoral was to die for, and the venison was perfectly cooked with a sublime jus made from real blackberries. Homemade desserts felt like a hug, and beautiful wine finished off the meal. Everything was matched by a lovely atmosphere, comforting yet stimulating, and pitch-perfect floor staff. Chef Caitlin McFadden is a marvel, as my tastebuds can confirm. My empty plate says it all. This is the second time today we've been treated to an absolute gem of an eatery in Pitlochry!

I had the mushroom risotto at this cosy pub and really enjoyed it. The food was delicious, the staff were super friendly, and dogs were welcome. It has a lovely, homely feel.
