The setting is lovely for watching the night sky, with amazing views, red squirrels, and plenty of birds visiting the lodges. There are lots of places to visit nearby. We had good Wi-Fi and phone signal, and the booklet had useful information. Our lodge was quiet, warm, and nicely furnished, with all the equipment we needed. We booked a lodge for the weekend at a really good price through the website. My family, including our two young kids, had a great time. We’ll be back.

We’d recommend Tayview Lodges for a peaceful, quiet place to relax and as a base for exploring beautiful Scotland. The views from our lodge were spectacular, and we loved watching birds and red squirrels at the feeders. We stayed at the Faskally lodge from 27th to 31st Dec 2025. It was well equipped, cosy, and warm even with the very cold temperatures outside. The milk and wine in the fridge were a lovely gesture, as were the amazing Tunnock’s teacakes.

We had a quiet, relaxing stay in a three-bedroom lodge and hope to stay longer next time. I booked directly and got an even better rate. Glenshee and Cairngorm ski centres were an easy drive away, and there’s so much to see and do in the area.

The setting was beautiful and relaxing, and we all enjoyed our four-night stay in October at Ordie. The lodge was cosy, clean, and well maintained, with comfortable beds. We cooked every evening, though the kitchen is quite small and we managed. The lodge is set back from the A9, but traffic was audible at night in the bedroom nearest the road. If you’re sensitive to noise, bring earplugs.

We had a two-night stay in one of the little lodges. It was exceptionally clean and larger than we expected, and it’s a great place to stay. It would have been nice if the path to little lodge 1 had a light.
