I spent one night in the single room at Mariners Guest House and would happily stay again. The location is excellent, within walking distance of the city centre and nearby sights. The little room was comfortable and had everything I needed. Olive gave me such a warm welcome and was helpful and friendly, so I felt at home right away. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. It was a bonus getting to chat with Olive and hear about her fascinating life. Highly recommended.

Olive made the whole trip feel special and looked after me so well. By the end, she felt like a mum to me, and I’d never felt so at home. She even let me sit on her cool motorbike and start it up. Here are the pics. Best experience, thank you so much.

The guest house is only a few minutes’ walk from Plymouth Hoe, which worked really well. The owner was so friendly, and our room was lovely, with a comfortable bed and a good shower. We had a great two-night stay and would happily come back.

We’d certainly come back if we’re in Plymouth again. Mariner's Guest house was comfortable and clean, and well placed for both the Hoe and the waterfront. The owners were very friendly, and breakfast was lovely too.

Breakfast was a nice chance to sit around the big dining table and chat with other guests. You can have the continental option or order a freshly cooked breakfast for £8. Olive and her family were always friendly and went out of their way to help us. Our room was clean and fresh, with everything we needed, and film on the windows for privacy. It’s near the sea, with lots of cafes along the walk to the Barbican, about 22 minutes on foot into Plymouth. I really enjoyed my three nights and would stay again. I’d recommend it to friends and family 😃
