I was here on a business booking from my company and had a Premier Plus room that was perfect. Kerry checked me in at 3.30pm, helped me carry my bags up the one flight of stairs to the first floor, and made me feel welcome. We chatted at about 10.30pm, and she was still just as happy and polite. The coffee was lovely, and Kerry brought more pods when I asked. The chocolates and water were a pleasant treat, and she replenished those too. That's why I wanted to write this review. Her customer service made me feel like a five-star guest, and she's a real asset to the company. I didn't eat at the restaurant because I had a reservation elsewhere, though they offered to make one for me if needed. The location was a bit of an issue for me since I like options for exploring the area, but I'd come back for the service.

The restaurant was closed for maintenance while I was there, and the bathroom had toilet smells. Otherwise, everything was great. Cassidy and Kirsty at reception were so friendly and welcoming. It had been a long time since I'd stayed in a hotel alone, and I was a little nervous, but they eased my anxiety and made me feel safe. Cassidy went above and beyond, finding me decaf tea bags and giving me a little box of three chocolates on my last evening. I'd definitely recommend this hotel to women travelling alone because of how welcome and safe the two reception ladies made me feel. Thank you so much!

The staff at this Premier Inn and Beefeater were so friendly, and I'd highly recommend staying here. We arrived at midnight on the first night after car trouble made us late. We'd called ahead, and Kirsty had left us a little note and a box of biscuits because we'd had such an awful journey. She'd also closed the curtains and put the heating on. It worked that first night, and her lovely gesture ended the night on a positive note. Thank you, Kirsty. The room heater broke on our second night in room 19, leaving the room very cold. Another review mentioned the same problem in a different room, so it needs sorting. They gave us a little fan heater immediately, without hesitation.

We had two interconnecting rooms. The bathroom fans in both weren't working, so steam and other bathroom smells lingered. The heating control unit was dead in one room. These problems may be unusual, but they could point to the hotel being a bit outdated. The staff were friendly, the location was ideal for our visit, and parking was free and plentiful. The car park looked close to full, judging by the number of vehicles, but I didn't hear any noise. I know Premier Inn rooms well and generally like staying in them. Soundproofing and comfortable beds are my main priorities, and Plymouth East didn't disappoint. I'd still recommend staying here.

The Beefeater next door is handy when you want food without going far. The location is perfect, though the car park fills up by late afternoon or evening. I had room 26, where the heater wasn't working. The front desk gave me a portable heater, as I think all the other rooms were booked.
