Breakfast with that stunning view is well worth it. The customer service also stands out, easily worthy of a five-star hotel. If anything comes up, the staff are there to help politely. The Moorland is charming, good value and has no trouble with parking, even for larger vehicles. You get a lovely outlook across the city and estuary, with the Moors right across the road. I could choose posher city hotels, but whenever I visit Plymouth, I come back here.

We were staying here while structural work was being done on our home, and we'll definitely return for the Sunday roast and Wednesday Crurry night. The food is freshly made from scratch and very reasonably priced. Free wifi and parking were handy, with the A38 about 15 minutes away and Plymouth City Centre around 20 minutes away. The views across Plymouth Sound are amazing, and the staff, especially Sudeep, Sunil and Madan, looked after us so well. Nothing seemed too much trouble, including for housekeeping. Best hotel staff we've ever had.

The carpets could use a clean, and the place is a bit old, as others have said. But for the price, it's a great little hotel: the room and sheets were clean, service was friendly and breakfast was good. I'll stay here again next time I'm in the area. It's hard to keep a business going these days, so I hope people visit this cozy hotel.

Even with terrible weather, the staff's welcoming smiles made the stay worthwhile. They were so helpful and really went out of their way. The food was exceptional, parking was easy, and the rooms were comfortable for a three-star hotel. Top marks all round, and I'd recommend it to anyone wanting some peace and quiet.

The staff were outstanding, and the view at breakfast was amazing. I stayed Monday night because I needed to be near Plymouth in the morning and fancied trying something a bit different. Glad I did: the steak was fantastic, and those were the best chips I've ever tasted.
