The views in the mornings are beautiful, and the location is good. The staff were excellent, I couldn’t fault them. The rooms were comfy enough, but you can hear everything outside your door and through the floor. There are no carpark facilities. The hotel itself is rather twee, and it’s hard to justify the sky high prices: £18 for breakfast and £24 for haddock and a few chips. Cannot believe what they charge for what you get.

The Bosville became one of our favorite stays in Scotland, thanks to all the little touches of comfort and hospitality. Our room was impeccably clean, with a cozy feel, a great tea setup, snacks, and water. The tub was big enough for a full-size mermaid, which ended up being me. It was perfect being able to walk down the stairs to the little pub and have breakfast there in the morning. I’d recommend staying here 100%, and I’ll most certainly book again. The location was perfect, too. The staff were so thoughtful. It was my husband's birthday, and they went out of their way to make it special for us. That meant so much. We also ate at Dulse & Brose, and it was SO GOOD. I had the lamb shank, my husband had the fish n chips, and we both LOVED everything. Honestly, it was one of the best places we ate in Scotland. I’m picky about eating out because of my allergies, and the staff nailed it. If you need a nudge to make your reservation, this is it. You won’t be disappointed. The bread and butter was a highlight, seriously, and so was the sticky toffee pudding, the best! We’re still sad we can’t easily get Orkney butter in the US.

This is right in the heart of Portree, so it’s easy to walk anywhere in town, and we’d definitely return. We had an excellent three days at the Bosville while exploring Skye. Our Family of 4 room had plenty of space and was extremely quiet, at the back of the hotel away from street and bar/restaurant noise. It has one large bed and two chairs that fold out into singles. I wouldn’t recommend the fold-outs for adults. The staff were very kind, accommodating, and knowledgeable. Breakfast was excellent, as was dinner if you choose to reserve a table in the evening. Parking is limited and not reserved, as others have mentioned, but we always managed to find a space when we got back in the evening.

Work brought me to Portree, and I stayed in this beautiful hotel for 2 nights. The room was lovely and had all the home comforts. Attentive, professional staff gave 1st class customer care, and the food was amazing. Highly recommend without a doubt 🙋♀️

The location is great, and the breakfast in the adjoining restaurant was very good and clean, with great service there. The hotel itself was nothing special. The hallways were narrow, dark, and dirty, the walls were very thin, and our room faced the street right over the bar, so it was noisy. By USA standards, this would be equivalent to a 2 star, 3 star max. Parking was terrible: 7 spots total, first come first serve. Otherwise you have to park a few blocks away, pay, and hall your luggage through town. Definitely not work the $500/night, very overpriced for midweek.
