Elephant Rock Hotel

I had a lovely meal here last night. The small plates were what we tried, and the food was fantastic. The staff were extra friendly, the cocktails were good and the decor is lovely. Hopefully I’ll be back soon for another meal.

The town centre and East Strand are only a short walk away, and that location was made even better by the friendly staff. We stayed overnight and had cocktails the evening before breakfast, both of which were excellent. Everyone was pleasant and helpful throughout. I did feel sorry for the staff dealing with what seemed like an unnecessarily difficult customer, but they handled it professionally and stayed positive.

We had a really good dinner here with friends at the weekend. The food was beautifully presented and tasted lovely, and everyone enjoyed their meal. There was plenty to choose from on the starters, mains and dessert menu, plus a good drinks list and nice house wines. The restaurant felt stylish, fresh and clean, and the toilets were spotless too. Service was excellent, with welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. We'd happily come back and recommend giving it a try. 10/10.

Room 7 was a complimentary upgrade from standard to superior, and it was clean and spacious with a huge bathroom. They'd left water, tea, coffee and homemade shortbread in the room. We had a one-night stay with dinner, the main course and a drink included through Rorys Travel, as well as breakfast. Dinner was amazing and the staff were attentive and helpful. Breakfast was enjoyable too, though the porridge disappointed me a little. The oats hadn't softened and it wasn't creamy, almost as if it had been microwaved. We also appreciated the courtesy call the night before. A lovely boutique hotel, highly recommended.
