The food was delicious, and the service stayed excellent throughout our visit. Daire and the team made us feel at home from the moment we arrived, and the little birthday touches were appreciated. Our room was spotless and beautifully decorated, with care put into every detail. The hotel’s genuine hospitality really stood out. I’d happily recommend the Atlantic Hotel and can’t wait to return. We came back for the food three nights running, it was that good, and there was nothing to fault. Dara, the manager, was lovely and made sure we felt welcome. Great place with family’s. I’d definitely recommend it. Thank you.

I travelled 210 miles from Spain to stay two nights with my 89-year-old mother, who had come from Belfast. We’d paid £389 for adjoining rooms, but when we arrived she wasn’t well enough to stay, through no fault of my own. I asked management if they could refund one room given the circumstances. They only pointed to the terms and conditions and showed no understanding or compassion. I wouldn’t recommend the hotel to friends or family after that response. Disgusted says it all.

We had a fantastic weekend. The staff were helpful and friendly, breakfast was excellent, and the beds were comfortable. The front rooms have epic sea views, and it’s about a 10-minute walk to either strand, with plenty of bars and local places to eat nearby. I also appreciated the storage rooms for things like surfboards and bikes, as I wouldn’t want to leave them in the car overnight. We had good craic in the bar one night. The car park is the main drawback: it’s tiny, very tight and first come, first served. If you can’t get a space straight away, you may need to park on the street around Ramore or Lansdowne overnight. I did that without getting a PCN, thankfully. There’s also a free 24-hour car park at Ramore. A bit of a hassle, but not too much bother overall.
