Novotel Reading Centre

The bed was reasonably comfortable, though noise from the location was an issue. The rest of the room and hotel felt incredibly worn, and the whole place needs refurbishing. In its current condition, it doesn't come close to four-star standards. I've never stayed at another hotel in the UK with a sign telling guests not to drink the tap water.

Getting around was easy, with shops, restaurants and transport links all within walking distance. The Novotel Reading Centre made for a wonderful stay. The reception team were welcoming and professional, especially Toni, the manager, and Yassine at the front desk. The F&B staff were polite and attentive too. A special thanks to the woman working in the breakfast area on the mornings of the 24th and 25th of November. She was so patient and helpful while my baby wandered around. I'd highly recommend staying here.

Breakfast had lots of fresh, tasty choices, and the pool and fitness area were a well-kept bonus. My room at Novotel Reading Centre was spacious, clean and comfortable, with everything I needed. The bed was especially comfortable, and the room stayed quiet despite being right in the city centre. The location is very handy, a short walk from the station, shops and restaurants. Mr Lama and the rest of the staff were friendly, professional and ready to help. I had a truly wonderful stay.

I visit regularly, and this time the safe in my room wouldn't work and the sink was partly blocked. Reception passed the issues on to maintenance, but when I checked the next morning, neither had been fixed. I don't know what maintenance did. When I went back to complain, Marissa was brilliant. She came to the room quickly with fresh batteries and a plunger, and sorted both problems in seconds.
