Dinner was excellent, and breakfast had a great range of things to choose from. I’d booked a single for two nights, but they gave me a double when I arrived. The room was ready even though I got there early, and I was welcomed warmly. It was very clean, with a hairdryer and tea and coffee, and the walk-in shower had plenty of space.

The sea view made breakfast even nicer, and the food was delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful, and my room was clean, comfortable, and updated. A wonderful stay, thanks!

Booking was straightforward and I didn't have to pay in advance. I liked the comfortable beds and excellent bathrooms, and the staff were pleasant. Some lovely rooms have views, and many feature original artwork. Breakfast was great too.

We had a lovely breakfast after sleeping well, then got another warm goodbye when we left. For our one night there was nothing to complain about. We arrived a couple of hours early, planning just to park up before checking in, but that was no trouble. We parked right outside with the £10 refundable permit, and the room was already ready. It was clean and comfortable, with a good shower and a nice sea view. We’ll look to stay again if we’re nearby.

The Claxton is in a great spot opposite a huge sandy beach, and it's very dog friendly. I've stayed several times over the past couple of years and would recommend it. The rooms have always been spotless, the staff are friendly and helpful, and breakfast is enormous if you can manage it all.
