Premier Inn Redhill Reigate

The bed was very comfortable, and the service was great. It is a bit out of town, and the hallways creak. The shower was uncomfortable because the water kept cutting in and out, especially at the cold tap. The water booster pump, or perhaps the expansion vessel, needs attention. There’s a useful input panel by the TV, including HDMI. I couldn’t test it, but it might work for a Nintendo Switch or Chromecast.

We had a good night’s sleep, as we usually do at Premier Inns, and I’d stay here again if I flew from Gatwick. We picked it for its proximity to the airport and the Beefeater pub next door for food. Both the person who checked us in and the security man at the desk when we left were very nice. The corridors could use a good vacuum, and the rooms felt tired and in need of a lick of paint.

There’s a significant speed bump right outside reception, and you have to cross it to reach the car park. It’s dangerous for low cars, even if you go over at a crawl, so don’t stay here with a low vehicle. The property itself feels older, though the rooms are what you’d expect at any Premier. The restaurant is in the neighbouring Beefeater. With Premier, you know what you’re getting, and that’s part of the appeal.

The room was warm and cozy, with a good outlook, and the staff were all very helpful. It was clean and tidy, including the room and bathroom, and there’s a very large free car park. The place is starting to show its age, though. I’d only stay for a few days.
