That bedroom window view was stunning, and the whole break felt just right. The staff were brilliant, the location was great, and both dinner and breakfast were second to none. We’ll definitely come back. I’d highly recommend it to anyone who needs a breather from the hustle and bustle.

The food was the real highlight. We tried several different meals and everything was delicious. It’s a lovely, cosy country pub, with a log fire and armchairs as well as the usual restaurant tables. Dogs are welcome in the bar, too. Worth stopping by if you’re passing or heading out on a walking trail.

We didn’t stay overnight, so I can’t comment on the rooms, though I’d certainly stay here another time. The pub is wonderfully cosy and welcoming, tucked away in the dales, and all the staff were lovely. Sue and Mark were especially friendly and chatty. We had two gorgeous meals: Sunday lunch was divine, then on Monday we chose Chicken Parmesan, Bacon Chop, Pork Belly and Steak Pie. Everything was fresh, beautifully cooked and very tasty. I’d highly recommend a visit.

There was loads of room to relax and enjoy ourselves, and the atmosphere felt so welcoming. The staff were extremely friendly, and the food was delicious with such generous portions. Honestly, I’d give the place 10 stars across the board. Five just doesn’t feel like enough!

We had a lovely two-night stay between Christmas and New Year. The room was lovely, the food was delicious, and the service was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. We’ll definitely be back.
