Robin Hood Inn

I don’t usually go to pubs since I don’t drink, though I recently stopped in for a latte and it was really good, a nice size too. The place is spacious, with decor that’s been done quite nicely. We also had Christmas lunch at the Robbin Hood yesterday, and everything was great, from the attentive, helpful staff to the food. My prawn cocktail starter was packed with prawns and probably the best I can remember having. Both visits have been five-star experiences for me.

The desserts looked so good we only remembered to take a couple of pictures after we’d finished the mains. We had a Triffle and an Eton mess sundae. Before that, our five Sunday roasts arrived promptly, and we thought the food was amazing, easily the best roast we’ve had. Great value for every penny, with friendly service too. We’ll definitely return once we’ve recovered from that meal. Google wouldn’t let me give it more stars, lol.

We didn’t stay, but came in with family for Boxing Day lunch after a chilly walk. The burger was excellent, and there were lots of other good options on the menu. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and made us feel welcome. A great atmosphere and comfortable decor made it a lovely place for lunch.

We had a drink at the bar during our lovely overnight stay. The welcome was warm, the room was very comfortable, and the whole visit deserves five stars.
