The Wi-Fi was poor and there was no TV reception, though neither bothered us since we don't watch TV anyway. We spent two nights here and had a good experience overall. Our room was clean, comfortable, and bright, with three windows. It had tea and coffee, which I liked having before bed and when I woke up. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and we had a parking space for our car for £3 per night.

The room had a shower in the corner, which felt strange and offered no privacy, and everyone in the lodge shares a key-coded bathroom. The reception is in the middle of the kitchen, which seems unhygienic, and the seating area was covered in what looked like ejaculation stains. Floors were filthy, and the walls were black with dirt instead of white. In less than two minutes inside, I had bite marks on my leg. The whole accommodation stinks and clearly doesn't get cleaned. Even with the cheap price, I'd rather sleep in my car or go home. I highly recommend not booking here.

I was cycling past in the rain and arrived drenched, so this place was perfect for the night. The staff were really friendly and helped me with my bike and check-in. My room was very tidy. :-)

Absolutely appalling service. I had to postpone because my wife became unwell, and I asked through booking.com for another date. The hotel never responded, and when the original date passed, they still wouldn't help. I contacted them beforehand to sort it out, then asked booking.com for a refund for a stay I never had, but the hotel refused. You can't reach them directly: it's a mobile number that cuts you off with an automated message saying “please text,” and they don't answer texts either. A friend had also booked this hotel, but cancelled because of what happened to me.
