Liberty Wharf Apartments

The balcony was a highlight: loads of outdoor space, a fantastic view, and the cushions were a welcome find. We’ve been to St Helier many times, but this was our first stay here. The apartment was much bigger than expected, with plenty of storage and a comfortable bed. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a washer-dryer, dishwasher, oven, fridge-freezer and microwave. The bathroom was decent; the over-bath shower wasn’t huge, but it did the job. We liked leaving the door open for the sea air, though there’s air conditioning too. There can be some weekend noise from the popular bar behind the apartments, but it wasn’t intrusive and the double glazing blocked most of it. Liberation Station is about twenty metres from the front door, and the city centre shops, pubs and restaurants are a five-minute walk away. The balcony rooms are worth the extra cost. Highly recommended.

The location was good when we stayed in May, but the room wasn’t well maintained. The furniture was marked and the couch was worn and torn. Our double room had been set up as a twin, leaving one bed against the window and making the curtains difficult to open and close. It was advertised with a bath and shower, but we were given a room with an adapted shower and no bath. I’ve complained through my credit card company. The hotel seems to consider this an acceptable standard, and I’m interested to see whether they respond to my review.

Watching the boats come and go from our balcony, with the harbour in view, was lovely. The apartment was central in St Heliers, very clean, and had everything we needed. The welcome pack was useful and clearly thought through. Staff were very helpful during booking, then friendly and pleasant throughout our stay. The complimentary tea, coffee, scones and croissants were a nice extra. Highly recommended.

It was easy to get around from this apartment, right by a bus stop in St. Helier. The place was really spacious, and they left some complimentary basics like coffee and milk. The staff were nice and helpful too. I’m looking forward to staying again.
