Once inside, we were pleasantly surprised by the clean, lovely studio and its great view. The new TV, kettle, and coffee machine were nice, and even the bathroom corners were spotless. There were a couple of carpet stains, but nothing awful. We booked at the last minute, and the smashed, boarded-up entrance door and a few dodgy-looking people hanging around had made us apprehensive. Check-in included a £150 deposit we hadn't noticed, but the receptionist showed us it was listed on Booking.com, so we paid it. The mattress wasn't very comfortable and the toilet flush didn't work properly, but we had a great stay overall :)

We stayed in the apartment for three nights, and nobody came to clear the residents' rubbish left outside the door. This seems more suited to students or long-term tenants than travellers. There are some good points, but the downsides outweigh them. I also don't understand how management runs such a large building without CCTV.
We booked only about 20 minutes before arriving, so hadn't had time to research properly. We lasted less than 15 minutes in the building. The room was filthy, and the furniture looked like a pile of free castoffs, flimsy as a sheet of A4 paper. The whole place felt like temporary housing or a halfway house. We went downstairs, complained, said we wouldn't stay, and asked for a refund. Two weeks later, Booking.com is refusing it because BeeHosting says we stayed. The place smelled of sewer problems and felt unsafe. Just disgusting.
We had trouble finding the building, and when I called twice, both times I ended up at voicemail. Inside, the two-bedroom apartment had only a small two-seat sofa, even though I'd paid extra for a sofa bed. I asked about it and was told, “We're fully booked.” They texted later to say they'd put in a Z bed with extra bedding, but it never showed up. They offered no reimbursement or goodwill gesture. The customer service was awful.
We were in Salford for a conference, got food, and went to bed. We didn't drink, use drugs, or party. The one thing I did was lightly touch the wall heater, which was already broken, and it fell straight off. I filmed it immediately because I thought they'd blame us. They did, and said they'd keep our £150 deposit to repair it. They first said the deposit would be returned in two days, then said it would take ten days after they checked the room. We have a dispute open with Airbnb and Adelphi wharf and plan to go to trading standards and elsewhere. I suspect they set the heater up to fall, since it was cold and there was no other heating; the wall hole is far too big for the heater screw, with no residue showing it had been fixed recently. I’m posting photos, including screenshots from my video. Madness. We also saw the insistence on a £20 parking fee as scammy, so after reading reviews we parked on a side street instead. The studio smelled awful, the toilet wouldn't lock, and the ironing board was falling apart. I tried to turn on the wall heater and it came off the wall. We had no help finding the flat when we arrived. We only learned about the £150 deposit after booking through Airbnb. We said we hadn't seen it on the site and wanted to cancel, but they refused a refund, so we felt forced to take the studio. It's not luxury at all, and there were young people hanging around, smoking and being loud. Read the reviews on Tripadvisor and Google too. They're not on TrustPilot, and I can see why. They aren't trustworthy and seem to be making a fortune from this. It needs a thorough investigation.
