The room was basic but fine for the price. The main thing that affected my stay was privacy. We had around £3,000 worth of merchandise in the room for an event, so it was especially important that the room be treated carefully. Housekeeping came in even though the “Do Not Disturb” sign was up, and the privacy procedures hadn’t been followed properly. Nothing was missing, thankfully, but it left me uneasy and caused a lot of unnecessary stress. I know hotels need to maintain rooms, but guest privacy should be respected and the rules followed. Better communication could have prevented this. I hope management deals with it so it doesn’t happen to other guests.

Breakfast was nice, the rooms were clean, and they make a lovely Pizza too. I was there this past weekend for a nearby convention, and the place had everything I needed. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Thanks to everyone for a lovely stay. I’d happily come back.

The location worked perfectly for us. Public transport is right outside and across the road, and most of the attractions we went to were walkable. There’s a garage next door serving 'Greggs' food, with a McDonalds and a pub directly opposite. The cafe and pool table were nice extras, and having free tea, coffee and filtered water by reception was a bonus. For a budget hotel, the room was a pleasant surprise: bright, clean and comfortable, with a desk and stool. The shower was hot and powerful, with a shower gel / shampoo dispenser. The toilet was a little compact but clean. There were lots of TV channels, and you could adjust the lighting, including bedside controls for softer lighting. Staff were very friendly. Each morning the cleaning team promptly checked whether we needed fresh towels or supplies. One letdown was the advertised 24-hour pizza. We got back very late after a long day standing at a concert and were told there was no food available. We were too exhausted to go out again, so we ordered delivery instead. That turned into a disaster, with several unsuccessful trips to and from reception while we were hungry and grumpy, but that’s another story. We were very pleased with the hotel and would stay again.

For a short trip, this was a practical place to sleep, and I’d stay again. The tram nearby makes it easy to get into Manchester city centre, so the location is really convenient. My room was small and simple, but clean and comfortable enough. The staff were helpful and friendly, and check-in went smoothly. A good budget choice if you don’t need to pay extra for frills.
