We stayed for three nights with our three dogs, and the hotel was really dog friendly, including the pub and restaurant. The room was clean and comfortable, the bed was massive and the shower was amazing. Food was great, and all the staff were brilliant and helpful. Thanks for a lovely stay. We’ll be back when we’re in the area.
The rooms are spotless, cozy and really comfortable, and I honestly couldn’t fault them. Breakfast has a great choice and the dishes are consistently delicious. We’ve stayed at The Ellerby more than three times and had lunch there several times as well. On our latest visit we had the Christmas lunch menu, which was fantastic, easily the best Christmas dinner I’ve had. My companion agreed. The cider on tap was probably the nicest pint I’ve tasted, too. There are plenty of delicious choices for vegetarians like me. The welcome is warm as soon as you come in, and the staff are some of the friendliest I’ve met. They can’t do enough for you. The service is a real lesson in customer care, one other hotels and places could learn from. Whether you stay or just pop in for lunch, I can’t recommend The Ellerby enough. A definite 5/5.
The lunch was amazing, especially the chips, and the staff were lovely with us and our dog Frodo. It was our first time stopping at this beautiful place. Even though they were busy, they found us a table by the fire, which was very welcome after a walk on the snowy moors. 100% recommend, and we’ll be back when we’re in the area again.
We’ve booked the country inn twice already and have booked again in case there aren’t any rooms left next time. The rooms are clean and fresh, the food is outstanding, 10/10, and the staff are so friendly. They’re dog friendly too and loved my dog. Thanks for taking such good care of my family, Annette, Brian Page and Dougie. We’ll definitely see you again soon. It’s a lovely little gem, try it and you’ll want to come back again and again.
This was our second year here, and we’ve already booked for next year. The staff are really friendly and attentive. Our room was lovely and clean, with a super comfy bed, and we slept very well. We had a lovely dinner and breakfast, then a nice morning walk in a beautiful place and area. See you next year.
