Albemarle Hotel

At night it was peaceful and quiet, with no shouting, and the beds were comfy. The rooms were clean and fresh, with everything we needed, and the price was great. Shops and South Bay beach were both close by. Jonathan welcomed us, helped with our bags, and told us to ask if we needed anything. We felt so welcome and would happily return to Scarborough. We'd highly recommend staying here. Sorry we called you just because we needed some milk, Jonathan, and thanks again.

The room was nice and the staff were great. It's a handy spot, just a short walk from South Beach and town. The only snag was the ensuite bathroom door, which was hard to close. Apart from that, it was perfect and I'd stay again.

The bed was seriously comfy and gave me good support. I would have slept better if the room had curtains, though, and the check-in and check-out details could have been clearer. Those seem like easy things to fix. I was after a basic room, but got quite a bit more: plenty of wardrobe and storage space, shower gel, a choice of hot drinks and a kettle, plus a hair dryer, coffee table, chairs, and TV. The shower was great. The decor was clearly aged, but everything was clean. The location is about a five-minute walk from the train station and ten minutes to the sea front. I really enjoyed my stay and think I'd come back.
