I was in Sheffield for work and fancied something different from a regular hotel. The houseboat was lovely and warm, spotless, and had a super-comfy bed. Waking up to that view was a treat. I’d definitely recommend it.

There were lots of thoughtful little touches from the owner, and the boat had plenty of room with a comfortable bed. It’s a beautiful boat just five minutes from Sheffield city centre, yet it feels like you’re away from it.

The Lila May was so peaceful, with everything we needed on board, and only about 10 minutes from the city centre. We spent two nights there and loved how clean and cosy it was, with some amazing local gems nearby. The only thing I’d have liked was a couple of bigger towels. A lovely stay all in all :) x

We booked the barge for my partner’s birthday because they love barges but had never stayed overnight on one. It was just the right size for two, very comfortable, and had everything we needed on board. There’s a lovely little pub close enough to stumble back from. The spot was quiet and we slept well. We’d definitely come back.

Everything about the birthday stay for my partner felt just right, and I’m so chuffed with it. The boat was gorgeous and larger than I expected. There’s a fab bar nearby, town is a 10-minute walk, and parking is right beside the boat. I can’t fault a thing, five stars all round!
