The Dalbury And Palmer

We needed somewhere for one night before attending a funeral the next day, and this turned out to be a great find. The suite was big, the room clean, and the bed comfortable. I was also glad it was dog friendly. The manager was incredibly helpful, lovely and friendly. Highly recommend.

We spent a night here as a family, but the house was dirty and smelled bad, and there were bees. One stung my husband. When we reported it, we were told, “It’s the time of year.” We didn’t get any apology. A waste of money.

I don’t normally write reviews, but this recent stay made me want to. My wife and I were going to a concert on the other side of town and needed somewhere to park, leave our bags, and sleep for the night. From the moment we arrived, the people were warm and made us feel at home. They sorted the parking and a taxi to the concert without any fuss, and looked after us again when we got back a bit worse for wear. The room was clean and perfectly fine, the place was peaceful, and the atmosphere friendly. We’d definitely stay again. The owners were great people. Thanks for having us!

Kath, the manager, was very accommodating, and having off street parking was excellent. Our room was fresh and clean. The ensuite was very small, but it worked well. It suited our needs perfectly.
