The Abbey Lodge Hotel

That breakfast alone was worth getting up for, especially the sausage. S rank, no notes. 🥰 My room was small but cosy, with the basics I needed, and the gentleman who checked me in was smiling and explained the breakfast times and how it worked. I appreciated that, even for a one-night stay. Everything felt lovely from the moment I arrived.

Parking was ample, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were lovely, too. Breakfast had great gluten-free options, including soya milk for lactose-intolerant coeliacs. I highly recommend staying here.

We were the last ones in for breakfast, but it was freshly cooked and hot, with delicious locally sourced bacon and sausage. The room was very clean, with a comfortable queen bed and a window that opened quite far for fresh air. Everyone on staff was welcoming and friendly. Thanks for such a pleasant stay. I can’t recommend them enough, and I’ll definitely stay again when I’m in the area.

The town centre was a short walk away, quaint and with a warm, friendly feel. We were also close to pubs and places to eat, with Salts mill, Saltaire not far off and Bradford a short journey away. Bradford is a lovely city with lots of historic architecture. We’ll definitely stay here again. The hotel itself was clean, modern and tidy throughout. We got a warm welcome and advice on where to park, and the garden looked well cared for, with a neat mowed lawn and pretty flower borders. Our spacious room faced the front garden and church by the roadside, yet it was extremely quiet. The window opened fully, which was a real blessing since I like fresh air. Most hotel windows only open a fraction. The bed was huge and comfy. The bathroom was very clean and modern, with fluffy white towels and a powerful shower. There was a hairdryer and iron if needed, plenty of sockets for gadgets, free WiFi and a smart TV. Breakfast was spot on, served quickly and hot by very friendly ladies. It was delicious, with quality bacon and sausage.
