Premier Inn Sittingbourne Kent

The reception was very good, and my Premiere Plus Room was spacious, clean and tidy. Breakfast from Brewers Fayre was good as well. The Ultimate WiFi worked well, at ten times the speed of the free connection, but getting its access details by email is an odd system. If you’re not connected, you have to get onto the free WiFi first just to read the message. Handing out the voucher code at check-in would be much clearer. Aside from that, it was a good stay.

Premier Inn refunded our money after I raised the problem at checkout and followed up by email and phone. We spent three nights and two days in the room without going out because we both came down with flu on arrival, so our plans to see family and friends fell through. That made the mattress issue hard to ignore. It hadn’t been replaced in the recent refurbishment and was unsupportive and uncomfortable, which is unusual for this chain. The hotel had otherwise had a refreshing update, including the bathroom, and we don’t use the TV much, so its lack of an update was fine. I’d stay at a Premier Inn again, and would give this one another try in the hope they’ve dealt with the mattress.

The Premiere Plus room was stunning, and the thoughtful birthday touches made the stay unforgettable. Louise left a handwritten note, chocolates, and a complimentary mini bottle of wine and beer for my husband and me. The staff had even folded a towel into an elephant and put it on the bed. We travelled from Dorset to visit family for my birthday, and I’ll definitely be back. Thank you, Louise!

Chris was really helpful, knew a lot about the area and got everything sorted quickly. It was easy to get to, and the room was clean and very comfortable to sleep in.
