The pool was a highlight, spotless and well equipped, just what you'd hope for. We spent two nights at Brazengate Lodge with our 5-year-old and had a lovely stay. The lodge felt a little dated in places, but it was well looked after, comfortable and had everything we needed. The pub food and service were excellent, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. We left some gloves behind by accident, and the team kindly posted them to us. We'd happily recommend it.

We went in February, when it was damp and chilly, and still had a great time. I'd love to see the place in summer. The Gamekeepers Inn is tucked away between Grassington and Skipton in the quiet Yorkshire Dales, within a caravan and residential mobile home park. There's a lovely pool and gym with a bar, and our bedroom was nice, with a spacious bathroom and comfy king-size bed after an upgrade. Breakfast was super, and we enjoyed dinner too, though I had to send back two steaks that were tough as leather. Maybe it was a bad batch. The staff handled it brilliantly, changing my main course without fuss or question and waiving the charge as a goodwill gesture. There was a great choice of alcoholic and soft drinks. Well done, team Gamekeepers Inn, you made my birthday celebration with my wife.

The grounds are great for a wander, with lovely walks and a duck pond the kids enjoy. We've been to the Gamekeeper’s lots of times and often stay on site in a static caravan. The menu has loads of options for adults and children alike. When it's warm and dry, the play park and beer garden are handy for keeping the kids entertained. We love it here.

The breakfast was the best we'd had in a long time, so next time we'd eat our evening meal at the Gamekeepers Inn too. We stayed Friday 7th November for one night, with my husband and our 2 children. The pub had a lovely atmosphere, and the staff made us feel welcome when we arrived. Our room was clean, tastefully decorated, a good size for four, and had a comfortable bed. We all really enjoyed the spa at the leisure facility next door. Children can use part of the pool, which was plenty big enough, and I understand why the rest is kept for the relaxing adult atmosphere. I tried two cocktails from the specials board before bed and they were amazing. My one complaint was that breakfast finished early and checkout was early too. When you're away for a night, it's nice not to have to get up early. Thank you 😊

Our main reservations were about the shared spaces: the bar is small, hot drinks at breakfast are set out on the bar beside the taps in a way that seems a bit haphazard, and lodges overlook the outdoor area. There's also a road right in front, busy with cars, delivery vans and people walking past. The setting itself is gorgeous, with ample parking and a spa, pool and Cafe just a stroll from the Inn. Staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was lovely. Our deluxe king room was in a separate building next to the Inn. It was spacious and spotless, with quality furniture, a comfortable bed, patio doors opening onto a small private patio with 2 comfortable chairs, and a good-sized bathroom with a large shower. It also had tea, coffee, biscuits and a Nespresso machine. Heating was on a room thermostat, and each room had its own wifi password for a great quality service.
