A great spot for a warm up drink when you get off the train, and you can sit and watch for the next one. The pub’s only a short walk from the railway station, with railway memorabilia all over the place that makes it fun and quaint. They poured an excellent pint, and the staff were so friendly. It’s spotlessly clean and very dog friendly too. The surrounding area has been beautifully restored, with a pedestrian bridge into town close by and canal walks nearby.

The swede mash was a nice little touch, and the beef was perfectly tender. Amazing Sunday lunch with very generous portions. I’d highly recommend it if you’re after a high quality roast in Skipton.

The bar has a good choice of beers and ale, and the staff were very friendly. I skipped breakfast, but my wife said it was excellent, and the chef made me a bacon butty to take away. The outside doesn’t look like much, but don’t judge a book by its cover. Inside, the rooms are gorgeous, warm, clean and the perfect size for two. Highly recommend. We’ll be back.

We went to The Railway for dinner last night, and the service was fantastic from start to finish. Everyone was friendly, attentive and made us feel welcome. The pie was incredible, packed with tender meat and flavour, so I’d recommend giving it a try. It’s a warm, cosy, relaxing place to unwind, right in the heart of Skipton. The staff were amazing throughout, and I can’t fault a thing. I’ll definitely return. A hidden gem in town!
