The reception team made this stay really comfortable. They welcomed me warmly, dealt with check-in smoothly, and took time to answer my questions patiently. Everyone I spoke with was professional and helpful, and their attitude made things feel stress-free. Thanks to the staff for such good service.

The bathroom was dirty, and the place felt rank overall. Inside and out, the hotel looked dated and unclean. After a day at Legoland, I felt unsafe there with my children. There were lots of drug users outside, and we shared the lift with a woman who seemed to be on something. I was uneasy about leaving my car in the car park, but didn't have much choice. Awful stay, I wouldn't recommend it.

The room itself was nice, but we wouldn't choose this place again if we wanted a full night's sleep without stress. There's a car park right behind the hotel, and people seemed to think it was fine to rev their engines around 01:30. We arrived at about 21:45 with our two young children and found a reception sign saying redemption was closed and check-in was at 15:00. We were a bit concerned. There was a phone number, but nobody answered; thankfully, a staff member appeared after about five minutes. The location may be great for the city, but the noise was a problem.

The staff were nice, which is the only reason I gave this place a star. I stayed for two nights, but the room was poorly built and the bathroom hadn't been cleaned when we arrived. A loud ringing sound kept going in my room, and it genuinely hurt my head.

The room smelled bad, and the bathroom door wouldn't shut unless I lifted the toilet seat. The walls were so poorly insulated that I could hear guests in the next rooms. Even paying extra for a top floor room didn't block the local boy racers or screaming nut-jobs, and I still couldn't get a decent night's sleep. I also had to pay an extra £3.50 for wifi that was supposed to come with my 'upgraded' room. When I asked about it, the staff didn't know or seem to care. Outside, vehicles were parked across pavements, junctions and dropped kerbs, despite the double yellow lines. I can't understand why that isn't enforced, as it surely seems like easy money for the local authorities.
