The food was excellent throughout our two nights. Breakfast is made to order, with everything from porridge and eggs benedict to avocado toast and a Full English, plus a generous buffet with great croissants, homemade granola and fruit. My poached eggs were perfect both mornings, and there were good gluten-free options. We also had dinner one night: the large, sprawling pub has a comfortable, busy feel and plenty of little nooks. Our server was lovely and helpful. My baked polenta with pea puree and mushrooms was flavoursome, gluten free and a good portion. My husband’s large fish and chips had crispy batter and chunky chips, though he couldn’t quite finish them. I had a brownie for dessert, and he had a couple of scoops of ice cream. We were welcomed warmly at reception and shown to our spacious double room. It was a lovely two-night stay. There are winding corridors and some low ceilings, very traditional English country pub. White walls and pale furnishings keep the room and corridors feeling light. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was large with a great shower, and there were lots of tea and coffee choices in the room, plus what seemed to be delicious homemade cookies. We only noticed the guest lounge near the bar on our final morning, but it’s a lovely idea, with comfortable armchairs and more tea and coffee options. We couldn’t fault the R&C 😃

There’s a residents-only spot where you can sit and have a drink, which was a nice touch. I stopped at this lovely country pub for the night. The room was clean and tidy, and dinner in the restaurant was very well priced and faultless. Breakfast the next morning was cooked perfectly. I’ll definitely visit again.

The food is always delicious, and the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. It’s a great little pub for dinner, and there was nothing to put us off returning. A few staff could use a bit more training, and I wish the service charge weren’t automatically added to the bill so we could leave our own tip. Still, I’d definitely recommend it.

The food was delicious both times I visited, first for dinner on Tuesday evening and then again for breakfast on Saturday the 28th. Benny was especially friendly and such a laugh, his banter made the evening special. I went to Snettisham for Christmas and stayed in an Airbnb, not the hotel, so I can’t comment on that. The pub is lovely, in a beautiful location, and I’d definitely recommend it 100%.

The food was incredible, and you can tell they use high-quality ingredients. I tried the focaccia bread, unlike any I’d had before, and when I asked, the waitress told me they have their own pastry chef. You really need to try this place. It’s a hidden gem. The location is beautiful too, and the staff are phenomenal, friendly, polite and bubbly, and make you feel genuinely welcome. Thank you!
