This was our second Christmas gathering here, and it was another enjoyable one. Booking was easy, and we could use the side room, which was nicely decorated. The square table worked perfectly for our group of 14. The menu was good and reasonably priced, the food was delicious and came out promptly, and there was a good, generous mix of vegetables. As always, the staff were welcoming and friendly. Thanks for a lovely experience.

The restaurant was packed, but the staff stayed welcoming and friendly throughout. I came for a meal with friends, and we had a wonderful time. The food was delicious, and the staff couldn't have been better. Highly recommend!

We had a very pleasant night here. The room was comfortable and seemed well looked after, and check-in was straightforward. Paul showed us to our room and was lovely. After breakfast we met Toni and Paul, who were both lovely and clearly enjoy their work and being in their favourite part of the new forest. Breakfast was very good, so next time we'd be happy to try the restaurant for dinner too. I'd highly recommend staying here.

I definitely wouldn't return or recommend this hotel. It has nothing like the feel of a 'chateau', and it backs onto an extremely busy dual carriageway, so it's noisy at night. There's no lift or disabled parking bay, which I believe is illegal. Breakfast was cold and continental style, and the bar prices were outrageous.

We had a lovely time and were pleasantly surprised by the food, which was tasty and well cooked. Service was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was really nice. You could easily walk past without realizing it's a restaurant, since it's not obvious from outside. We did think the prices were a little high for what you get, though.
