We were booked for 28-02-26 and left without staying. The bathroom was in good order, but the room and entrance were cold. The stained bedding and dirty mattress were bad enough, and there was no topper. You could feel the springs through the mattress. The windows were filthy and the place felt like a bedsit. The website photos are very misleading. For about £10 more, I’ll book a Premier inn or somewhere similar next time. I wouldn’t recommend this place, and would avoid it if possible.

The bed was spotless and really comfortable, and the shower was perfectly adequate. Staff were warm, helpful and understanding about why we were staying. They were also flexible when we asked for later check-in and checkout. The bar was a lovely place to meet up with other family members for a sad farewell. Great location too.

I really enjoyed my stay from 3 August to 6 August 2025. The bathrooms and towels were clean, the bedding was spot on, and the customer service was wonderful. I liked the atmosphere in the bar, and Cobden Bridge nearby made for lovely walks and lots of photos. At check-in, it would be helpful to get the WiFi password, and guests should be told that some Nigerian dishes are extra spicy.
