Premier Inn Stevenage North

The staff are bloody amazing, welcoming, friendly and real. They’re the reason I’d come back. Thanks for making us feel welcome. A few practical things: there’s no aircon, as already shown in the amenities. O2 and Vodafone both had good mobile signal in the rooms, which you don’t get at many Premier Inn locations. Some rooms are a bit tired, but functional and clean. Guest parking is free, just get the code at reception. Food from the in-house Social was good, and they had beer on tap and in bottles. We had two meals in one sitting and enjoyed both.

I was annoyed that the hotel pictures showed a Brewers fayre, only to find the pub was closed indefinitely. But the small bar turned out to be a good surprise. I hadn’t planned to order there, but the Heineken was excellent value, and the food and service were fantastic on 27.11.25. The room looked recently refurbished and was near immaculate. From check-in through dinner, everything was brilliant. Breakfast is tomorrow, so I hope it keeps the five stars for price, location and food.

The room was lovely, warm and clean, and we really like the cosy bar and restaurant, which is very reasonable. Thanks to Sharon for changing my booking at short notice, and to Alexia for greeting me with a big smile after a horrendous journey involving an accident on the A1 and trying to find another route. David cooked a fantastic breakfast, especially the sausages, with Jackie supporting in the restaurant and bar. Lizzie wished us well at checkout. See you next year on our family visits.

I felt welcome here, which isn’t always how I feel when travelling. I’m on oxygen 24/7 and called ahead to arrange delivery. The receptionist remembered me from a stay a few months earlier, booked me into a room near reception and sorted everything out in a friendly, capable way, with no fuss. The room was very clean, though a little tired, and it looks like refurbishment is under way. Breakfast was generous, efficient and well coordinated. Superb service throughout.
