We had to leave early for the airport, and they made sure we were fed before setting off. I also really appreciated how they handled my hand-washed clothes that hadn't dried overnight: they machine-dried them and returned them folded. The room was spotless, the service was exceptional, and the house and grounds were lovely. It was our last night in Scotland, and I only wish we'd had another one. I'd happily stay here again.

The lawn and trees outside our room made for such a peaceful view. Inside, everything was immaculate, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, just as other guests have mentioned. We were lucky to get a night at West Plean House, a beautiful place that clearly has been cared for over a long time. If you're visiting the Stirling area, this is a wonderful option. Wishing Hannah and her family many more happy years there.

That breakfast was such a treat: fresh eggs from their chickens, smoked salmon, fruit, and great coffee, all prepared with care. I slept better than I had on the rest of my travels, thanks to the very comfortable bed and quality furnishings. Hannah made us feel welcome right away, with a warmth and attention to detail that made the stay feel personal. The house was immaculate, and although it's an old historic building, it felt beautifully maintained and comfortable rather than like stepping back in time. I couldn't fault anything about the home, food, host, or atmosphere. Best B&B I've stayed in, and if I could give it more than five stars, I would.

We stayed in the Maple Room for one night. It is small for two, as clearly advertised, so for a longer visit we'd probably choose a larger room. The house was so quiet that we heard no noise at all with the window open. Hannah arranged everything for our stay, and the breakfast was probably the best B&B breakfast I've had, better than many hotel breakfasts too. There was plenty of fruit, and she made me a lovely warm vegan meal with mushrooms, tomatoes, and porridge. One of our best stops in Scotland, and we'd book again.

Breakfast, the warm hospitality, and our supremely comfortable room were all spectacular. The place itself is gorgeous, and there's a Giant Sequoia on site. I didn't want to leave. It's a great base for visiting Stirling castle, the William Wallace memorial, and the Falkirk Wheel.
