The staff were so friendly, and nothing seemed like a bother. Breakfast was freshly made and one of the tastiest I've had, while the rest of the food was outstanding too. Dogs can come into the bar area, which was handy. The room was spacious, spotless and had all those thoughtful extras. It sits just off a main road, but up high with beautiful views across the valley. A fantastic stay, definitely recommend 👌

That breakfast kipper was a lovely change from a full English or Scottish breakfast. We were very pleased with the hotel as a stop while travelling south from far north Scotland. It was quiet and spacious, with a grand rural view south across the Tyne Valley. Other hotels should make kippers a must.

We had a job to do the next day, and the Alexa in the room made it easy to set an alarm and stay on schedule. Breakfast was included and every bit as delicious as dinner, which was really good quality. Our room was huge, luxurious and had a stunning view. It was warm and comfortable overnight, with thoughtful amenities that made us feel welcome. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was quick and warm. Would 100% recommend for the view, comfy rooms and excellent service.

Really friendly staff and fantastic food at this great little pub. It's well worth visiting. If you're planning to eat there, book ahead so you aren't disappointed.
