Hilton Garden Inn Stoke on Trent

Breakfast was okay, though nothing special, and a bit lukewarm when I went down around 9am. There was no queue, but I didn't think it was worth the extra £13. Parking also cost an additional £9 per day, which was disappointing, and the signs explaining it were scarce. The location worked really well for my work trip to Stoke, and the room was modern and clean. I could hear the person next door talking on their phone through the thin wall.

We live locally, but staying here over Christmas felt like being away on a proper break. The sitting areas were comfortable and beautifully arranged, with thoughtful design that seemed to consider introverts too. That was a big plus for me and my autistic sister. The atmosphere was bright and welcoming, and after we'd paid, check-in was easy. The staff were so helpful and made us feel at home. Joe, I believe that was the young man's name, was fantastic at breakfast. Thanks to all the staff and cooks who worked on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Room service was top notch as well. It's been a tough year, and this short break made those two days a bit better. 😊 My one concern is reception cover. There should always be two staff members on duty, because safety and security matter, especially in Stoke-on-Trent. Thanks, Alison.

A few friends and I met in the hotel lobby for drinks after not seeing each other for 8 months. Joe, the man behind the bar, was cheerful, polite and professional, and we had some good conversations. The night staff were brilliant, and the hotel felt clean and enjoyable, with mellow music in the background. Highly recommend it, even if you're just meeting up.

Roberto was a real pleasure to deal with, and the customer service was excellent. The food was delicious, and my room was spacious and very clean. I'll definitely be back.
