Dafydd kept us entertained with local stories and Jo had a great dry wit. Breakfast was lovely, with sausage, bacon, egg, potato, mushrooms and tomatoes, and lava bread if you ask 😉. Our twin room and bathroom/wetroom were both nice, though I wish the shower had a bit more pressure. There’s free parking, a pub about seven minutes away on foot, and several beaches are close by. Better to drive than make a long walk to them!

The room was roomy and peaceful, and that shower was amazing. We were there for two days, and the owner was lovely and very accommodating, cooking us a great breakfast each morning. Blas Gwyr is an easy walk from the beach and pub, and works well for a walking holiday. We had a lovely stay last weekend and will definitely come back.

It was so quiet at Blas Gwyr, tucked out on the edge of the village, and you can head off walking right from the door. Our dog came too, and although it’s dog-friendly, everything was so clean and cared for that you wouldn’t guess another dog had visited before ours. The accommodation is immaculate, beautifully designed, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The owner was welcoming, helpful, and lovely to chat with, while still giving us space. Breakfast was well cooked and served, with enough choice for everyone, and plenty to keep us going on a long walk. The bright breakfast room was nicely arranged too. We were sorry when our few days were up and we had to go home.

Dafydd went all out to make a superb breakfast for my vegan wife. The bed was great and the bathroom beautiful. The property itself is lovely, right in Llangennith, with the pub just five minutes away on foot for food. You can also take the longer route over the hill to Llanmadoc. We’d love to come back soon.

We needed a proper breather after a hard year at work, and this August 2020 weekend gave us just that. It was our first holiday in a year and our second stay here. The owner was a good host, cook and guide. They’d adapted the accommodation and breakfast setup to keep things safe during the covid era.
