Elderbrook House

The host was so welcoming, and even though we were there for just one night, she had snacks ready for our journey home. We left with happy faces. The rooms were lovely, and the complimentary drinks in the fridge were a nice touch. Breakfast the next morning was gorgeous and there was plenty of it. Would highly recommend, and the countryside is stunning.

Ben and Cody were incredibly welcoming and helpful, and the atmosphere was lovely and friendly. The homemade food was delicious, especially the puddings! Our room was spacious, breakfast was generous, and the location worked perfectly for our walking trip to the Ridgeway. Would highly recommend.

We enjoyed tasty ales and home-cooked food in the bar, and as vegans we were very well catered for. That doesn't happen too often when we go away, so we really appreciated it. We also enjoyed chatting with the owners and locals, while Mia the dog was always ready for a belly rub. Ben and the team were warm, welcoming and accommodating, with great local knowledge. It's a perfect location for getting into Avebury during a long weekend in Wiltshire. We'll definitely return.

Ben and Cody were friendly and accommodating, and the location is really good for visiting Avebury. The Pratchett Room is spacious, and breakfast was very good, though there was too much for us to finish and the Eggs Benedict were very rich. A few things kept it from being five stars. We'd given good notice of our arrival time, but when we got there in late December the room was freezing. It took a couple of hours to warm up, so we were stuck in bed fully clothed and couldn't do much. There was only one bedside lamp, so only one of us could read, and no light on the desk. The room also had no teaspoons, coasters or full-length mirror. Sorry to be picky, but those are things you normally take for granted. It's a shame, as the couple are lovely and made us very welcome, but the Pratchett Room needs some attention before you can fully relax in it.
